Locate and remove two (2) phillips screws that secure the top of the plastic panel that surrounds the radio. The plastic dash panel will pull off once the screws are removed as shown in the photo above. The front of the radio is held in with two (2) 7mm bolt screws at the top of the radio. Remove the 2 bolt screws. There is a hidden radio that secures the rear of the radio and is located under the radio. Pull the ashtray to its extended position. You will need to lay on your back or side and look behind the ashtray, up to the bottom of the radio. Once the ashtray has been pull to its extended position, you should be able to locate and remove one (1) 7mm bolt screw as seen in the photo above. Once all screws have been removed, the radio can then be removed. Pull firmly on the radio to remove it from the dash. The radio will most likely resist pulling from the dash. The antenna cable which plugs into the rear of the radio is very short and gives the radio resistance when trying to pull the radio out of the dash. Continue to pull firmly and the antenna cable will unplug itself as the radio is pulled from the dash. Unplug (1) blue, (1) white, and (1) black wire harness connector(s) from the rear of the radio. There will also be wires extending from the rear of the radio with a plastic connector attached to the wires about 4 inches from the rear of the radio. Unplug this small connector. The radio can now be completely removed from the dash. Set it aside. You will need to remove the plastic brackets attached to the top and bottom of the GM radio. This will be shown in detail in the "Mount New Radio" section.
Which side is the kitten on, if it's on the passenger side you can remove just the glove box to gain access, if it's on the drivers side you can remove the bottom kicker panel to gain access from the bottom of the dash so you don't have to remove the whole dash. If the kitten made it's way behind the radio, you can remove just the trim around the radio and then remove the radio to gain access behind the radio.

*It's a bit tricky but not difficult, if you know how the dash in the Park Avenue is put together. But before you do anything, safety first. *Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before doing any electrical work on a car. This prevents shorting out your cars electrical system.
*If you own the 90 -91 Park Avenue model, simply pull off the decorative trim away from the radio to expose the torq screws that hold the radio into the dash. You will need a torq screwdriver of the right size to remove the radio. Available from your local autoparts store.
*If you own the 91-92 model, it's a whole different ball game. This since the dash is much more tightly compacted. It's a combination of a snap together assembly and Torq screws. The dash is held together in columns or sections.
*The torq screws on these models are hidden behind the heater vents in the upper dash. First pry the wooden trim (Which surrounds the climate control module) on the bottom of the dash off, gently but firmly until it comes free, exposing the Torq screws on the lower dash. Remove the heater vents (hiding the upper screws ) by popping them out with a straight blade screw driver. Then remove all Torq screws visible to the eye, only from the column that is holding is holding the radio in place.
*You will then be able to remove the black colored plastic off the dash to expose the radio. (Use care when removing the lower dash column as some climate control and airbag sensors might be embedded).
*Remove all Torq screws holding the radio in place, (and keep track of all screws) pull the radio out of the dash, and disconnect electrical connectors. If you'll be replacing the stock radio with a non factory radio, make sure all electrical connection watch up, since security feature in the radio are integrated into the radio. (some of these effect basic function on your vehicle like the headlights) If you will be reinstalling the stock radio, you will have to have it unlocked by the dealership. The DelcoLoc system will now think the radio is stolen, because of it's internal security features. Installation is the reverse of removal.
It's up under the left side of the dash, attached to the same bracket as the body control module. But sometimes the problem is in the hazard switch - try pressing it when the signals don't work and that often brings them back to life. Also, check the ground wire to the left of the base of the steering column.
check if there a small hole in each side of the radio, insert a small screw driver in each hole then pull the radio. If no holes , check you dash if there a knobs for a/c remove the knobs there is a nuts hidden under it.
To remove the radio you must gently pry out on the trim around the radio. Then you can access the two bolts that hold the radio in the dash. You can then remove the radio by unplugging the two harnesses, antenna and unbolting the ground wire.
Remove radio from vehicle. remove T15 torx screws on top and sides of radio. Remove knobs and outer bezels around knobs. Face has retainer clips top and bottom. Unsnap the face of radio and remove old bulbs there are five or six in a gm radio.
