As far as a control module, it is part of the BCM which is the fuse panel in the dash. If the speedometer is not working it is likely the unit itself and would not be an uncommon issue with these vans. Let me know what exactly it is doing(or not doing) and I can better advise you on the repairs.

I have problems with my speedmeter does not work from my trailblazer 2003 i checked the fueses and they are ok

Does your odometer work? If it does, then I would suspect the stepper motor in the instrument cluster that drives the speedometer is bad. If the odometer does not work then the problem is with the speed sensor that is located on the transmission.

My speedmeter stop working while i was driving my 1983 chev van g30

more than likely its the cable running from the back of your tranny to you speedmeter it either screws onto your tranny or there is just a clip you pull try to keep dirt from falling in there after you pull it then you are gonna half to pull apart your dash just pull off that black panel that all your gauges are behind the once you get that off you need to pull that hole gauge cluster out theres like 4 screws around the coners you shouldnt have to pull of the clear peace once you get those screws out pull it forward and right behind where your speedmeter is is the other end of that cable there will be a clip there i belive you pull that and the hole thing should feel out the bottum make a note of how it runs thro so when you put it back in you have some kinda idea

I have 1988 ford ranger an speedmeter had stop working before i got it where does the speedmeter hook up at

look at the tranny under the drivers side of truck....speedo cabe is that large cable fastened to the tranny via a circular ring at it's base. it may be unplugged---if not will need to be lubed at both ends and where it is exposed under the hood......use wd 40 and work it in wearing protective gloves..

Speedmeter not working

Not knowing what kind of car.I would say check output speed sensor. You can do this simply.Find where it is located,it will be a socket.Unplug connection, get a multimeter, switch it to AC voltage.Connect one lead to a pin coming from switch , the other lead to the next pin.Now have someone put car in gear with drive wheeels off ground. If meter flucuates then Output speed sensor is good.Time to check wiring and continuity to instrument cluster.A cheat method is to have a scan tool that gives you live data. You plug in scan tool drive car and see if you get MPH.

in the Fuse Box there are Fuses for this. They are labeled as "Guages" "Illumination"and Speed on some Models. Get a Flashlight and look Really close at the Fuses. There should be at least one that is Blown.
