Might be wheel bearing. try to listen if its by one of the wheels put windows down and try driving by a building or wall somewhere and listen for location. whell bearing will do what you are hearing

possibility of CV joint but then you should get the same sound at low speeds also.

if you getting this sound only at 2000-2500 rpm may be over advance ignition timing

I get a humming /buzzing sound that increase with speed

check tyre pressures are even. tyre tread pattern will cause noise that increase with noise (off road pattern are noisy while highway pattern will be quite) Have the wheel bearings check for condition.

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty. At different speeds (sometimes around 75 or 80 m[ph sometimes between 50 and 55 mph) there is a noise sort of a low whistle. It is not a constant problem and I think the air...

It might just be wind. Make sure its something outside and not in the engine bay. Try your best to listen and see if you can pinpoint it. But it might just be wind on something, most likely the weather stripping on the outside. If everything is functioning properly, you should be good.

I am having a noise that appears to be coming from the rear of my '05 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4. The noise kind of builds up to a certain level, then backs off and in a few seconds begins to build back up...

it could be a u joint hard to tell.it could be in the rear end(differential).if you accelerate and the noise is there then this indicates a ring gear to pinion gear problem or if its there but not as noticeable when at a steady speed then it sounds like differential bearings.if you hear it when turning then it could be axle bearings.

My 2003 Jeep Liberty heater is blowing cold air when idling. Warms up when you hit the accelerator. I also hear a water rolling sound upon take off after idling. Water pump? Heater Core?

Water level perhaps. When you hit the accelerator the water volume increases. Check your water level and make sure that your thermostat is opening and closing properly. Water level I'm thinking

It is a humming sound that increases in intensity with exceleration but quits when acceleration is let up or speed has leveled off

Sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing or the rear end is low on gear lube.Check the gear lube very soon so as not to ruin the rear end.

Have tires checked, but sounds like possible wheel bearing going.

sounds like you have a problem with one of your lines on your power steering or one of its components. the grinding noise could also be one of your pulleys that have gone bad too. check your steering assemby gear box.

Sounds like it could be your fuel pump, turn your key on and have your son listen to the fuel tank he should hear a humming sound. If he does not you probably need a fuel pump.
