I have a 95 2500 cummins that sometimes wont start!

I have a 95 2500 cummins for about 3 mounths my truck has been randomly not starting! however i dont think its a fuel problem because on several ocations i move the shift lever (its an auotomatic) up and down the colum it will start. but that doesnt always work. it seems to be bad when its not completly warm and i shut it off. is there an electric cyliniod hooked into the shifter or key that could be bad Phil

The neutral safety switch is bad or the connector is loose. its mounted on the transmission and has three wires going to it. it just screws in like a bolt

My rexton 2005 sometimes won't start. but if u lock it up and go bk which could be between 10 mins and 3 hrs.it starts up without a problem and it's random on it times. any idea please

Does it not turn over or it turns over but wont start?
If it will not turn over I would check the ignition switch for loose connection. If it turns over but wont start check the fuel pump relay.

My 2000 chevy tracker wont start

if you have not changed the camshaft position sensor you need to do that sounds exactly like my problem got the new fuel pump and filter in there and it was fine for a month then same thing started happening again, been fine for 7 months since I changed my camshaft position sensor

95 Ford Taurus SHO 3.2 stalls randomly

On one of the occasions when it won't start back up, someone will need to figure out if you have lost spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors to be able to troubleshoot the problem.

1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel random start

Well, This sounds more like the starter may need a rebuild than anything else....The symptoms are there! The loud clicking is the solenoid (normal), and it should turn the engine over and crank at that point without you hearing the clicking. Since it does not crank, all you hear is the clicking..
There is an old "red neck" trick that could define your problem...When it just gives you "part one" and doesn't turn the engine over - STOP - NOW..crawl under the truck and try several taps on the starter frame ( NOT ON THE ROUND HOUSING ) with a metal hammer, now see if it starts right up...if this works, then the starter brushes are on their last bit of contact...AND this usually only works once or twice then its time for a rebuild...(don't ask how I know this works!!)
..If this works for you, then you have diagnosed your issue. Even if it doesn't work, my money is still on the starter!! Good luck...

2000 concord 2.7 lights flash /stobe turn key on wont start jump it fires right up runs good just wont start sometimes replaced batery like a mounth ago ??

Hi, a couple things you can check are the alternator voltage and the battery terminals. If a car starts with a jump but not with the battery, either the battery is low or the terminals are not tight enough. A low battery can be caused by a failing alternator. With the car running, the voltage at the battery should be at least 14 volts. If not, or you don't have a voltmeter, remove the alternator and have it tested at you local parts chain. Let me know if you have more questions and thanks for using FixYa.
