The horn maybe a horn relay,or a bad horn,or the horn button .The cooling fans, check to see if they will come on with the ac on,if not, check the fuses, and the cooling fan relays,if the cooling fans come on with the ac,then change the coolant sensor.

I have a 1999 grand cherokee limited 4.7 v8 litre

There is the coolant sensor that tells the computer the temp, and the computer sends a signal to the cooling fan relays, and the relay turns the cooling fans on,and off,if the system is low on coolant,or has air in the cooling system, then the cooling fans would not come on,or the sensor is bad,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

How do you check a cooling fan that wont run on 2002 grand cherokee

ELECTRIC Cooling Fans are Controled By
1) Coolant temp Sensor
2) Cooling Fan RELAY
3) Power source TO the RELAY ( Fused )
UNPLUG the Cooling Fan PLUG @ FAN Itself
Use DIRECT CURRENT AT the FAN PLUG<< +POS & --NEG FROM BATTERY ONE BRIGHT COLORED WIRE at FAN PLUG is +POS. the Other is --Neg If the Fan COMES ON then your Problem IS BEFORE the FAN @ ONE of the 3 OTHER COMPONENTS ABOVE

The problem is my radiator fan wont come on

There are 3 possibilties that can cause your problem.
1. The thermoswitch that is mounted in the radiator that activates the fan when a high temp is received. It will look like this:

65fe7ed.jpg 2. The cooling fan has a relay and my be defective. It is located in the power distribution box under the hood, and is relay #1. this is most likely not the cause, but i do mention it as a possiblity, and look like this;

a18f5f6.jpg 3. Your cooling fan has a defective motor. you can test it buy disconnecting the fan connector and then use a jumper wire from the battery, see if you can activate it manually.

Where is the horn relay location for a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited? Thank you.

Hi, the horn relay is located under the glove box base that is secured by several screws. Pull the box covering out and you will see the relay box with 6 relays together ( 3 top row and 3 bottom row). The horn relay is located on the bottom row, all the way left. Or the first one on the left bottom row.

If the electric cooling fan is inoperative, check the 15A fuse in the junction block and the 40A fuse in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) with a 12 volt test lamp or DVOM. Refer to the inside of the PDC cover for the exact location of the fuse.

My engine cooling fan on my 1995 Grand Am is not working. I can use a jumper wire on the relay and it works. Should I replace the relay or could it be something els?

hi

im dave

test the relay by replacing it with a known good one. One of the ones beside is probably identical. Make sure that system is working like the horn relay swap em and see if the horn still works.
