2002 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 liter... When the car starts, I can only bring the RPM's up to 3000. when I've reached 3000 rpms the RPM's start going up and down...I have replaced the fuel pump what should I...

Nothing, you have hit the rev limiter. The up and down is the computer controlling the rpm. If you drive it, it should rev past 3,000. The computer is designed to keep free wheeling rpm to that level. It will only allow a higher rpm if vehicle is in gear and moving with a load.

Black plugs and black smoke coming from my mg tf 2002 convertible

I read your post about your car; as one who has put alot of $$ into your engine rather than having another car payment I asked my significant other who is a real "GEAR-HEAD"; He said if you had the head redone: the plugs are completely black (covered in carbon); the exhaust is as black as the plugs are; most likely the exhaust valves are sticking and the catalytic converter is clogged! He said one sure way to find out is to start it; let it as it is warming up; look under the car at the catalytic converter & see if it gets "RED"; if it is....TADA!! THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM!! GO FROM THERE! ONE REQUEST: Take it to a real mechanic or someone who knows what they're doing; not just taking your wallet to the cleaners! Hope this helps & gets your situation resolved. If the Catalytic converter is gone in a Honda Crv 2003 model does the vehicle blow smoke from exhaust and have a louder sound from exhaust when over 3000 revs?

Its possible the catalytic converter is stopped up, or the muffler.
A mechanic would disconnect the cat and check for blockage.

Cutting out in first unless have revs up starting to blow smoke lost power in all gears little bit of backfiring

White smoke means blown head gasket. Black smoke means to rich of fuel. Backfire could be timing is out sounds like timing chain or belt is going.

ok we really need more info. what color smoke is veh overheating. One thing for sure if veh is smoking you are going to have a clogged converter take a front o2 sensor out and see if the engine will rev. if so must fix smoking problem it will be fuel or oil if blueish color or if it is white could be head gasket.let me know a i can help you

My car is blowing smoke and shuddering ef falcon

What color is the smoke ? is it bluish or is it white ?
The blue colored smoke would smell more like burning oil, which would indicate a broken piston ring, ect. the white smoke if it smells of coolant(anti-freeze) would lean toward a head gasket problem.
