Check the relay for the A/C in the fusebox under the hood. This will also cause A/C not to work.

If your car air conditioner got gradually worst and not getting cold, then it is likely that you will need to get your car air conditioner 'recharged' with refrigerant: this is normal wear and any good mechanical shop will have the appropriate specilaized equipment to do it at a reasonnable cost.
In any case, check that the air conditioner compressor belt is not loose as this could also reduce the unit efficiency and cooling.
Hope it helps.

Ac doesn't blow cold air in 2003 tahoe

You will first have to check to see if the refrigerant has leaked out from the system. You may do one simple check yourself which is to turn on the airconditioning and look in the engine bay for the high and low pressure air-con pipes. There will be one pipe freezing cold if the system has refrigerant in it and the pump is working correctly. If not, then have the system checked by a professional.

2001 XL7 Airconditioning is not working only air not cold.

Is your compressor kicking on? If it is not kicking on chances are that either your compressor is bad, you have a bad switch, or a blown fuse. Another thing to look into is whether or not your A/C unit is fully charged with 134a coolant. If your unit is not fully charged it will not blow out cold air. I hope this helps you out.
