No brake lights

More than likely you have a blown fuse. I would check the fuse panel that is normally located in the dash by the driver's side door, in the glove box, or under the hood.

this is off a 1983 model, might be the same........green wire power from brake light switch into turn signal switch, coming out is green/orange wire, left brake.......orange/black wire, right brake.

I'm trying to replace the tail lights on my motor home which is built on a for econoline chasis (1988) when I took the old ones off a lot of the wires were pulled out of the assembly or just rusted off. ...

Reconnecting a 7 wire circuit.....I presume you have located the rear JUNCTION BOX, or HARNESS splice.... At the lights wiring.
1. YELLOW = LH Turn signal
2. RED= STOP Lights
3. WHITE= Ground
4. BLACK= LH Tail Light/# plate lamp
5. BLUE [If available] Auxiliary Power Supply
6. GREEN= RH Turn signal
7.BROWN=RH Tail Lights
Depending on style you may find that the LH and RH Tail lamp colours are the same.[ie] Both Brown or both Black.
Best of luck in your endevours.
Regards DT

Fuse box 1992 ford econoline

I have a 94 E350, and mine has 2 fuse boxes. One is under the steering column at the driver's seat, by the brake pedal. The other is under the hood, when you're facing the van it's just a little to the left and below the driver's side battery.

I have the 89-96 ford full size van chilton. I emailed scans of the fuse diagrams to chilton@asiamail.com. The password is chilton. Go to asiamail.com, type in chilton for email address and chilton for password and click enter. Lem me know via that email if that was the wrong thing.
