Question about 2007 Hyundai Tiburon

1 Answer

My car was serviced and shortly after the amber engine light came on.I had AHG take it back to the dealer whom said it was a brake light switch & claaimed to replace it free of charge, and 11 days later the same light came on.And this all happened in less than a week.It has only 18,200 kms on the clock as I dont speed around and or drive tha much, thats why the kms are so low for her year. After pickiing her up today April 23 2010 I was told that a sesor was now responsible and that if the lights came on again I will have to get the Fuel Injectors looked at,and only GOD knows what that will cost. The car was being over maintenanced by every six months & under the new car waranty I was able to have it serviced evry 12 months. The was no eror code number shown on the dsh, only a picture of the amber engine. Can the tools program parameters be adjusted to make the car shaow this symbol, every 11 days.I have looked on the net about this and a comment was made hat it is the timing belt. Can you please assist me very urgently.I use the car to get to hospitals and to doctors for my husband.I feel the car yard is lying to me and that they have done something to the car to make mony.I have a 2004 model with an Identicle engine and it has done 75,000 kms and has never had the engine light come on at all.The AHG guy that picked up the 2007 Tiburon Coupe Automatic was horrifying to me on arrival when he was to pick up the car,he refused to read & for me to put the details of my car and the fault reason to justify the AHG pick-up of the car on the pickup form, and said that if I even try to fill in the form details he would refuse to pick up my car and leave. He was so hatefull. I know there is something wrong with the car but I dont know what. Can I ask the mechanic for a list of all code error numbers to investigate this further. Kind Regards Margaret Ann Hayes

You can get a odb reader in any car parts store. cheapest ones start for like $30.
you can also go to a discount auto parts and borrow it from them to read your code. having the code, you can google it with your brand and model and you will sure find alternatives and solutions.

The P0573 codes is set when the stop light switch signal is too high.

Cruze control dosen't work

First does the light on the switch on the console light up? It's behind the gearshift, not on the dash or steering wheel. If not, check your fuse box then check the switch. If it lights up, then your cruise control is also connected through your brake light switch. I suggest renewing it before proceeding further. If it still doesn't work, there is a vacuum "T" on the passenger side of the throttle body, (US car that is), near your fuel rail and regulator. It feeds the regulator and the cruise control vacuum servo's in back of the front passenger side wheel well. Check this "T" for leaks. Make sure the vacuum servo (the big shiny chrome one on top of the throttle body, is connected. The error is probably electrical, not vacuum since it's bringing up a light on the dash.

2000 Mazda 626 brake lights (all 3) not working.

I know the answer to this. I just fixed my in laws 1999 626 with your exact problem. Power comes through the brake switch, and into what they call a "joint box". Basically this joint box is the back side of your fuse box where all the connectors go. Most likely you have a bad box, or connection at the box. It is the only other thing between your brake switch and rear brake lights.

ESP & ABS light comming on all the time

you should have the ESC/ABS module scanned for DTC's.

here are the 2 most likely causes.

1. low brake fluid
2. sticking/siezing brake lamp switch

at the dealership i see the brake lamp switches go bad left & right on a lot of the newer hyundai's. are your brake lights working?
