Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Drove fine, parked went to leave wont start . turns over good. does this truck have a fuel cut off switch? replaced fuel pump 18 months ago .
One good way to check that the fuel pump is running to listen. take the gas cap of and put you ear the the fuel tank fill neck. have a freind turn the key from the off position to the on position, but do not start the crank the engine over. you should hear a huming or wizzing sound for a few short moments. if you hear that sound the pump is running and more thatn likely pumping fuel.
