Yes yes you can... As long as the are the same engine. It cannot go from supercharged or not supercharged. But i know what your asking. The motor is the same

How do I change the spark plugs in my 2001 bonneville SE

Disconnect any hoses in front of coil pack
you must rotate the engine after removing the engine mount strut bolts .hold the engine with special tool , there is enough room to get at the plugs and remove them .

1998 Pontiac Bonneville SLE will turns over but will not run

I would check to see if the spark plugs are fouled. Or you might have a bad ignition control module (mounted under the coil packs). Auto Zone can test the ignition control module.

1998 firebird engine interchange

Is the engine from the bonneville a 3.8 too. If its is it will interchange, Just make sure you use everything off the 98, like all the sensors ect. The basic engines are the same its the add ons that will be different.

Engine missing, particularly in idle, or dies when turning

The intake gaskets leaking would cause the engine to have a misfire. Get a can of Brake Clean and spray in around the intake manifold on the top of the engine while the engine is running. The engine idle will go up or down if there is a leak. Also try swapping the spark plug with another spark plug to see if the misfire moves to another cylinder. If it moves then you have a bad spark plug. I hope this helps.

Changing a motor in 98 bonneville

The factory procedure is to remove from the top. You need to remove the inner fender to remove harmonic balancer. Tight quarters for this job. Some garages have told me that remove these from the bottom, preference I guess but I prefer the to use the factory procedure barring a time-saving shortcut.

What is wrong with the current engine? If it is seized get back to me.

1998 Pontiac Bonnevilee SSE

Yes the engine will fit if the engines are the same. you will have to change some of the bracketry and definatley change the rear exhaust manifold as the exhaust flanges vary slghtly from model to model. The root engine is the same though.
good luck
