It sounds like you have a problem with your twice module (theft warning integrated central electronics). It energizes a loop of wire surrounding the key and sends the power to the transponder sends a code around the same loop and sends it to the module which checks to see if it is an accepted key.....obviously you have a problem somewhere in that circuit. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I wanted to ask....do you have a remote key fob with your ignition key? If you do you might want to also try to put your key in the ignition, turn the ignition to on and press one of the remote keys this may reprogram your key and the twice module. Have you replaced the battery in the key remote? If not then try replacing the battery and standing or sitting in/near the car press the unlock button 4 times and this should reprogram the module. Let me know if this helps. Good luck!

Check the ignition wire under dash first to see if it gets power. If not then wiggle key while in ignition. Sometimes they go bad. Also check fuses.

2002 Olds Olero /replace ignition switch

remove your radio, there will be 2 bolts to undo, switch will slide into dash, unplug harness turn key to remove cable, if ignition wont turn you may have to take ignition apart to remove cable. reinstall in reverse procedure. will need to relearn new key to be able to start. try to start, leave key in run position, theft/security light will be blinking. leave on for 15 min or light stops blinking, turn off turn back to run without trying to start. leave on for another 15 min. turn off then start

1) make sure there are no leaks / loose hoses in the air intake system 2) Clear the MAP sensor which is to the front of the passenger side of the car just under the hood. Big square thing inline with air intake. 3) Get a known good MAP sensor and see if code is still happening.
