If p/steering fluid is low pump will make a droning noise. top up fluid and check for leaks, usually seepage from pipes at reservoir.

I have a knoking noise when i turn my steering wheel from side to side towards the front on my mazda premacy

it can be related to a universal joint from the steering rod to the unit and it is possible that this has failed. Normally this is a yoke and must be replaced after the vehicle has run.;

Chevy cobalt noise knocking in front end when you turn the steering wheel from left to right. Also knocking noise over bumps.

Hello and welcome. this noise is normally caused by a noisey steering I-shaft. there is a steering shaft that goes in between the steering column and the steering gear. this shaft has a slip joint that becomes noisey. all you need to do is lube the i-shaft with some special lube and you will be good to go

Power steering, there is an audible noise while turning, is it out of fluid or a problem with the power steering hose?

I have the same problem. I hear a whining/whirring noise when parked, turning either way, and even when driving at slow speeds. The noise gets worse when turning at slow speeds :(

Steering concern when making slow turns or backing out of garage

Make sure that the coupling shaft from the column to the rack is tight at both ends. There is a pinch bolt on the ends. If they are tight try holding the shaft while turning. You will probably feel the clunking noise. If so replace the shaft.
