You've probably blown a fuse. Check your cars owners manual and you will probably find that the same fuse runs both the wipers and indicators. Find the fuse box on your car, pull the fuse and you should be able to tell if it's blown. The wire inside will be broken. Replace with the same amp rating as the old fuse. Any auto parts store should carry fuses. They're cheap.

Where is the switch for my 1997 VW Golf rear windsheild wiper? I just bought it and I can't find it...

The switch for the rear wiper is on the actual windshield wiper switch for the front wipers, you have to push the lever forward to turn it on and then again to turn it off, to use the washer fluid for the rear wiper you push the same lever forward and hold it there till the washer fluid comes out.

Cold weather wiper problem

Dear joelgoodison,

Could be the Fuse!
Could be the Wiper Motor Burn't Out if Blades were frozen to windshield when turned on
Until you fix the problem you can buy RainX Wipe-On Glass Solution or Windsheild Washer Fluid which as unbelievable as it sounds will allow you to drive in the all but the worst downpours of rain without wipers!
I love the RainX Windsheild Washer Fluid and rarely use my wipers.
Check the fuses and try RainX and get back to me!
Hope this Helps!

2004 Golf

Hi, I doubt it will help as mine was a 1993 Mk 3. Your 2004 model could be a Mk 4 or a Mk 5, and they will certainly be different from mine, and probably from each other. Have you checked the inside of the fuse box lid for info - it might be there...
Hope this helps, D.
