You should need about 5 quarts of oil. Pour in four, clean off the dip stick and check the level. Add the rest as needed.

This may sound odd but if it is a 4.0 inline 6 cylinder motor, it will require 6 quarts of oil. If it is a V8 it will only take 5 quarts of oil. The inline 6 cylinder takes an entire quart more. If you aren't sure what the engine size is, check in the manual. Hope this helps you!

I buy the 5 quart jug i drain it all fill it with about 4 quarts start it let it run for about 30 seconds then shut off wait 5 minutes check oil fill as needed. then remember how many quarts it took. there 4.0 v6 is usualy 5 quarts. but do as stated to be for sure. then you have the empty jug to put used oil in for recycle.

If you have no 'check engine' light, you will need a technician to diagnose it and I would recommend NOT driving it. If, for example, a rod cap has come loose, it will destroy the engine if it gets even looser.

Oil leaks from oil pressure sending unit on my 1994 jeep grand cherokee limited v8 5.2 liter

Replace it immediately the leak will only get worse. On some, you may need a sending unit socket, unless it has flat sides that will work with a wrench. Wrap the thread with teflon tape (one turn) to prevent it from leaking there and do not over-tighten or it will snap off.

94 jeep grand cherokee oil pressure and engine temp?

I'm guessing your engine is'nt making any tapping noise with the low oil press.
Your oil pressure sending unit is most likely the culprit.
Is your car smoking when the temp. goes up?
You engine could be air bound or thermostat could be opening too late (might need new one).
PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE RADIATOR CAP WITH A HOT ENGINE.
