Question about 1984 Mazda RX-7
All of a sudden my 1984 rx7 started to die (it wont idle at all i have to give it gas to keep it running .... know why possibly?? i just got it and i know nothing about it really except that it has no A/C power steering or any emissions other than that it seemed fine when i got it oh also it is straight piped could that have something to do with it?
Well mazda rotory engines run alot hotter exhaust temps.so if it has the wrong exhaust on it it might not be breathing correctly and then it will not run properly.

Rotarys need back pressure. If you don't have the cats on it you'll blow an apex seal. Trust me. I just had to spend 2 grand on a new motor that's not running right.
