Low oil pressure

Your Taurus may be due for an engine overhaul. You may continue replacing parts at random until reaching that conclusion.

Low oil pressure light came on and started stalling out and now won't stay running without pushing the gas

Don't run the engine. Low oil pressure will cause damage to moving parts. Have it towed or pulled to a shop where true oil pressure can be checked with a gauge. Could be a worn oil pump, but lots of possibilities (like oil passage blockage) other than the oil pump.

My 2004 Taurus SES with less than 56K miles, had a leak of transmission fluid In my garage. I took it to Midas and they couldn't find anything wrong. However, a transmission specialist on site told my...

I'm going to make an assumption that this car has an automatic transmission.

First, a transmission is just like a cup. It only leaks if there's a hole in the bottom. If a little fluid overflowed someplace you can't see and left a little spot once, I wouldn't worry about it. If it continues to do it repeatedly however, I would say forget that Midas and take it to a shop that specializes in transmissions.

It could be as simple as an O-Ring in a fitting that's cracked and needs to be replaced, maybe 1 hour of labor and a 50 cent O-Ring. If it's only leaking when it's parked, it's probably a pan gasket. A 2004 Taurus is just about due for a transmission fluid/filter service anyway, which involves replacing the gasket.

Without seeing it myself, I can only guess though. Take it to a transmission specialist or a Ford dealer that's guaranteed to have a good eye for what's normal and what's not on your car.

OR

If it isn't getting any worse, and you don't mind living with it how it is, just make sure the fluid is at the correct level. Learn the *correct procedure* for checking it from your owner's manual, check it frequently, and keep the fluid right where it's supposed to be. Just do that, and you'll prevent it from getting seriously damaged.

I dont know why you would add oil if its full??? You need that checked out ASAP. I hope you have the old oil filter. a lawsuit may be in order. The incorrect filter may have damaged the engine.

2004 ford taurus. Its not overheating but there

Did you recently have a transmission fixed?
If so it sound like the drive plate bolts were not applied with Loctite.
Maybe a oil viscosity problem if not a transmission job.

Can't find the spout to pour transmission fluid into Ford Taurus

You need a funnel to add trans fluid to the dipstick tube where u check the trans fluid level. Let me know if u need more help, Add fluid w/ engine running, shift car thru all gears to circulate fluid. Don't overfill, it's bad for the trans.
