When you buy the strut you'll notice that there is no spring with it. You'll need to buy or rent a coil spring compressor to compress the spring far enough to remove the bolts on the top to get the strut out.

How do I correct my 1988 Ford Ranger 5sp manual shifter being sloppy?

The plastic cap on the end of the stick inside the transmission is likely worn, you can buy the whole shift lever from a parts house. If not the transmission is worn and needs rebuilt

99 Z-71 extended cab. Cracking or Clanking when accelerating from stop. Vibration when accelerating while moving. Vibration while brakeing. Clanking starts back up when speed is lower and almost stopped....

Most likely the U-Joints. It shouldn't be driven until they are fixed. You can check them by crawling under the truck and simply grabbing the driveshaft and turning it with your hand. You'll be able to see right away if they are tight or sloppy. Any slop at all means the U-joints are bad. Make sure to set the parking brake first and put the truck in neutral before crawling under it.

Ford ka engin oil

You really need an inspection pit as the car needs to be level. Unscrew filler cap from front face of gearbox ( carefull though as there is a blanking cap as well and it is the one furthest from engine) The oil level should be between 5mm and 10mm below bottom edge of filler plug)

Getting to hard shell spare tire cover

There's not really a secret- unless you forgot to unhook the latch at the bottom, that is. Just pull the flaps on the bottom toward you, and then work your way up one side. Mine worked better if you started on the left, yours might be different. Once you get to the top, pull the whole thing off toward you. The cover is surprisingly flexible so it is a lot less fragile than it feels. Putting it back on is even easier than getting it off. Position the bottom first and then work your way back up to the top.
