I think you have a bad battery or a bad battery connection turn on the headlights and then try to start it if the lights instantly disappear you have a bad battery connection and if this is the case take the negative and the positive battery connections loose the negative side first then the positive clean the metal surfaces of the battery were the cables go use like 100-150 grit sandpaper and do the same to the metal ends of both the negative and the positive ends of the battery cables hook the positive side back up first then hook the negative side back up and your problem should be solved.

99 jeep cherokee wont start, new battery, lights flash, when you turn ignition switch on nothing happens but lights flash on and off.

I know this is not a caravan but it is a chrysler. Recently on a caravan i ran into the same thing and it was the computer that was stopping the engine from cranking and running. Check with the nearest dealer because some of these computers had warranties extended because of problems. Are you sure the starter is ok. You can pull the starter relay under the hood and jump power from the battery to the relay point of connection after you remove the relay. This will cause the starter to turn over the engine. It still won't run if the computer is the problem but you will know the starter is ok which points more to the computer being bad. If this helps please reply and good luck

My hyundai accent wont start i need a starter relay i think i try to start it but no noise comes out exect a hum from the relay idk what to do but i have to get it fixed

dear friend:the starter relay will only click when you turn the key to the starting position.if the starter relay does not click check for power to and from the relay.also check if you got enough battery power,if all of this is ok then the starter is faulty.

1999 Chevy 3500 PU 5.7l gas. No power to starter there is one fuse #8 called "crank" that does not have power to it fuse is good just no power to it fuses to the left and right are good. All other fuses...

If your starter relay clicks, check for power coming out of the relay. You most likely have a starter issue, or if you have an aftermarket alarm, remove that first.

Turn key noting,new batt,new stater,sill same

I presume all the bells and whistles come on but no starter action. Lets go to the Power Distribution Center under the hood. Look at the big fuses. Find fuse "G" that should be the starter relay fuse (40 amp) That supplies power to the relay. If that's ok then we go to the Starter Relay. Remove it and you will find 5 female spade connectors. We want the two that are together. One comes from the fuse you just checked, that should have power. The other goes to the starter solenoid. Jump those two (make sure the trans is in park) That should crank over the starter. If that doesn't work either the circuit down to the starter is open or the Power distribution center has internal open circuit. If everything worked up to this point, try swapping relays (AC Clutch maybe)
That should solve your issue. If by some freak chance that doesn't the remaining possibilities lie with the controls of that relay. Trans Controller, Engine Controller, Trans selector switch, ignition switch and wiring in between.
Let me know how this goes for you.

2.5 jeep wangler 1999 wont start .starter checks out ok

Could be a bad connection between the battery and starter. Starter solenoid, or neutral safety switch if it is standard transmission.
Check for power at the solenoid.

1998 Bravada, locating starter

starter is on the right side of the engine under the vehicle. It is extreamly tight to get in and out, might need to jack the engine up a little for clearance. The wires to the starter can be accessed through the right fender well.
