I have a 1995 lincoln town car signature series and I having a problem with my transmission. When I put my car in reverse gear the car does not want to back up.

Check the oil level inside. The automatic transmisions are working oil based. If not enough oil, not enough pressure for moving the hidraulic mechanisms inside. The clutch is also actioned by oil pressure.

Problem with oil pressure

Either low on oil, check oil, or you may have a worn out oil pump. in which case you have to drop the pan and replace the oil pump. Check the oil level first.

Lincoln Town Car 2000 oil pressure light problem

No I wouldn't say so. There is not much difference and your car would be running hard when started.

It could be the sensor and if that's the case then you really have nothing to worry about, and the sensor isn't worth the money in fixing.

I hope this helps!

Brake pressure light is flashing and making a hissing sound it stops when i press the brakes on 1989 lincoln town car

More then likely you have a leak in the master cylinder witch is mounted on the brake booster. You can use a spray bottle filled with soap and water, and spray onto where you hear the hissing noise. It will bubble up where the leak is.
