Depending on your model and make, it is possible that your light's air pump is no longer functioning. The lights on most popup light cars raise by pneumatic pressure, and while some lights use pressure from other airpumps, others may have their own.

It is possible that the air hose is damaged, crimped, or otherwise nonfunctional, and it is also possible that the pump itself is damaged.

Check the hoses first. They are the cheapest part, and in almost every condition, a long-sitting cars hoses will dry-rot to the point of being no longer useable.

In most cases, to ensure that both sides raise evenly without stutter or excessive power use, they'll use an air pump. Check for pneumatic bars and hoses to confirm this.

I have a totally original dodge daytona 1989 es. my headlights worked but would not flip up. i replaced the fuse. its the same fuse for the cigarette lighter. put a new yellow fuse in and the lights work totally fine now. if not then the motor is most likely shot. becasue there is no air mechanism involved in this model car.

My corsa d 1.4 2010 won't open. IT CUT out THIS MORNING and won't open the doors. I replaced the remote battery but still won't open any door

The problem is more than likely in the car, possibly a faulty battery.
I know this next bit sounds a bit obvious but I've done it.
Use your flip out ignition key in the slot in the door handle to unlock the drivers door.
Don't try to start the car. It might trigger the alarm.
Try the dashboard button for the doors to unlock them all.
Also try turning on you headlights or your hazard lights to check if there is charge in the battery. If the dashboard unlock works try sitting IN the car and trying the remote fob again. If the fob works the alarm will have turned off.
If there is charge in the battery, turn the ignition on to the second position, pause and turn it off. This will also turn off the alarm.
Contact a good auto electrician and get the battery tested for charge rate and 'under load'. They will also be able to put the car onto a diagnostic system to find out if the problem is in the electronics of the car.

05 ford five hundred wont turn over thinking its the fuel pump or maybe the relay

try banging on the fuel tank sometimes that could make the fuel pump work for a bit, you cant 100 percent rule out a bad fuel pump;you may have a better idea if it starts. good luck

I have just purchased an E270 04reg and it wont start. the lights come on when you put the key in but wont start at all. An AA mechanic came out to see it but couldnt figure anything out. Is there anyone...

If you turn on your headlight do the light up good? Has it been sitting a little bit?
It sounds like your starter may be sticking.

Don't smash your starter but give it a little tap then try to turn it over.

sometimes when vehicles sit the starter will stick on you.

My waser fluid dispenser wont work on my -98 ford explorer there'

it sound like wither the motor for the fluid is broken (rare) or that the hose bits have clogged up with something. (likely especially if you have polished your car recently or it has built up over time)

Firstly you will need to remove the fluid direction bits (they sit on the hood of the car). To get these out open your hood and disconnect the fluid lines going into them.

They are most likely attached to the hood viua some pressure clips on the side. Squeeze on either side of the clips and push up and they should come loose.

Once out you can do two things.

Get a sewing needle or a pin and push it into the two holes that shoot out the water. Scrap the pin around to make sure you clear the biggest passage possible. Flip the directional dispenser over in your hands and stick the pin into the single nib at the bottom (that the fluid line connects to). Once again scrap it around and try to dislodge any dirt or gunk that is in there.

Next put your mouth over the two holes and blow as hard as you can. If it is blocked up of doesn;t give you will need to stick the pin in again.

There should be a popping sounds when the air finally gets througha nd some dirt, grime, polish, gunk should come out. Give them a really good clean and blow.

If it clears up and you can breath through the holes place them back into your car and try to push through the water again.

It make take a few go's to get it cleaned up. Alternatively go to the local auto store and buy some for your car should be about $10 each (if they have aftermarket ones).

Also if you have an air compressor let that loose on the holes (works a treat for me)

If all this fails it could be the motor for the fluid (this usually sits underneath or near the water reservoir) If so you should be able to get a replacement part pretty cheaply and it is pretty easy to install..

Good luck...
