On my 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 Hatch back there are two possible places to recharge your ac. One is under the hood right hand side near the from grill, there is a little black cover over it this is the high side. The other place which takes a small connector is on the passenger side wheel well, easiest way to get to it is to take the front tire off.

It is on the accumulator. The accumulator is in the passenger side fender in front of the tire. Look up from the ground.

Can't figure out which ac port is the charge port.

The low pressure side is the charge port. When you get the charging kit you will find that the adapter only fits the charging port so you cannot screw up and have the tank blow up in your face!

Rev engine to about 3000 rpm at ambient temps of about 80 and keep adding gas till the line to the compressor gets cold and maybe sweats. And that is it!!!!!!!

Accidentally overfilled the A/C on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and now there is smoke and a burning smell when I try to run the A/C. Did I charge the wrong port or is this normal for overcharging the A/C?

Can't charge wrong port adaptor fits only one port. The smoke and smell is because of the overfill. To much pressure in the system. How much did you over charge? Might be able to help get it back to correct charge

The port in the larger of the 2 AC lines from the compressor is the port you charge at.

I am trying to locate the low pressure port on my 2000 Saturn LS. there is no cap on the only visible and accessible port I see. It is located in the front of the engine compartment (passenger side) but...

The high pressure port is much larger than the low pressure port. It is impossible to hook a charging hose to the wrong port. If the charging hose is leaking, it is either because it is not clicked all the way on the port or the charging hose connector is defective.

The high pressure port is located on the discharge hose just to the rear (driver's side) of the A/C compressor.

I need to locate the low side ac port. air conditioner needs charge and i cannot locate the right port.

The easiest way to locate the low side charge port on any vehicle is to locate the A/C compressor, follow the "larger" of the two lines all the way back to the firewall. Some where along that line you will find the low side charge port.
Good luck.

Want to recharge air conditioning where is the valve to add located

mcdevito75 here, The A/C chrge port is on the low side of the A/C system, follow the metal lines comming out of the firewall from the evaporator until you find the charge port, it may be covered with a screw down cap. The kit you buy to charge the A/C will only fit this port. Of course look for this chargeing port when the car is cold.

1995 ford taurus how do I charge freon myself and

mcdevito75 here, I have a 96" and yes you can charge the A/C yourself and you can use the 134A, the Charge port is on 1 of the metal lines comming out the firewall mine is on the metal line just about 6--7 inches from the firewall, the kit you buy for recharge will only fit this low side port, also follow the cans directions very carefully. there may be a screw down cap on this port simply unscrew this cap, port will look similar to the air valve on your tires.

LOW PRESSURE PORT HAS A BLUE CAP ON IT.MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING REFRIGERANT R-134 BLUE CHARGE HOSE.R-12 CHARGING HOSE WILL NOT FIT R-134 SYSTEMS.SEE YOUR CAR HAS R-134 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM. THE EARLY 90S CARS HAVE R-12 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM.YOU NEED R-134 CHARGE HOSE SET.

Dont know were the port is to charge my air on 1999 for expiditio

there are two lines under the hood from the compressor, the one that is located in the larger of the two lines is the charging port, you say your charging nipple doesn't fit on either? are u using R134 refridgerant charging adapters? they are very large in comparison to the older R12 refridgerent system which was phased out in 1993.
