I assume your speaking of the day time running lights. It can be done, but dont beleive that there is a quick and simple way to deactivate the system. You will have to aquire a wireing diagram of the head light system. Once you have it, look for the wire that powers the system directly from the ignition switch. Deactivate it and cap it off with a wire cap and electrical tape. (Caution) In order to perform this job, you will have to know how to read wiring diagrams.

One solution that might work is to slightly apply the e brake. then start the car. they might remain off.
if the brake is set up with lots of play in the cable you can get away with this without issues.

yes it can be a fuse, most cars have a dimmer for dash/interior lights if fuse is ok it may be the dimmer switch.

check connections from the battery to starter if ok tap on the starter with a hammer as a helper starts the engine if it starts replace starter before you do dose the key turn all the way forward normal starting position? reason i ask is why did you replace the ignition cyl lock?

Are there any indication lights on? For Example, check engine light, low washer fluid light, abs light. If any of those are on afetr the car has turned on, that could be the case.

hi disconnect your fog light switch if this doesn,t knock them off you need to find the fog lights relay and replace it as the fog light circuit is shorted best of luck yates210456
