My dashboard clock occasionally goes into "fast forward" as if I'm adjusting the time. Anyone heard of this?

The chip at the top (looking at it with the chips facing you) needs resoldering, It can be done at home with a fine soldering iron and a magnifying glass (and a steady hand) I have done it myself, I was crosseyed for a while after glairing through a magnifying glass for 2 hours but it worked. Dashboard light goes in and out on ford ka whilst driving at night

You mean on and off? Is it random or a constant flash, like a watch or clock? I would try to "clean" the dash light level switch by moving many times from bright level to low level. It may clean the contacts thereby. Otherwise, check connections to that adjustment switch. Or, replace the switch.

Dear Volvo Tech Support, The dashboard clock on my V70-2002 Volvo runs forward un-controllable, every time I start the car. At this point I can not see the temperature gauge. The clock will stop randomly...

Youperhaps have used some dashboard-shine wich have gotten into the electronics and makes a sort of short Circuit there?
You may try to spray some degreaser in by the knobs before dismatling the entre dashboard and combi-instrument.
LEK-lube have a nice degreaser for electronics, but you may use any brand as long as it wanishes entirely (leaves no residues).

How do you reset the clock on the dashboard???

Hi,

If you mean the clock that's part of the radio, you need to hold down the menu button for about 5 secs until the hour starts flashing then use the forward/reverse buttons below it to adjust it. Then press the menu button again for minutes and then again to send it back to normal mode.

Hope this helps. I found out by accident............

Set clock

Beside the analog clock display there is a small dot where you can insert a pen. When you push this in gently the clock starts moving very fast. Hold this button in until the time is correct. Make sure you stop before you go by the time you want because it only goes in one direction
