Hi:
If your Kia sportage is using water, it might just need a new head gasket, as that is a common cause of water consumption.

Will a bad oil cooler cause water to mix with the oil on a 05 chrysler pacifica touring

Could be, but it is more likely you have a defective head gasket. Check if the cooling water gives pressure, when you remove the fill cap. DON'T TRY THIS when the motor is warm or hot. You will burn.

My 2006 blower fan switch only has a high. As soon as I turn it on it goes to high. Would this also be the relay?

this sounds like a bad blower motor resistor board that has gone bad. they are designed to work only on high if they go bad so you will still have the blower to defrost the windows.

Car heater blowing cold air and rubber burnning

If your heater is spraying a light mist through your vents it could be your heater coil. Mine did the same thing, smell rubber burning, then started a light mist through the vents. If you don't get that checked out, it could mess up your water pump and possibly your engine

98 silverado ac blower only blows on high after it froze up after ice storm /motor or switch bad?

Sounds like the resistor pack on the heater case needs replacing. That's how you get lower motor speeds. Unplug it, remove it, and look for broken wires on the little pack. Some water or ice probably got around it and ruined it, giving you that smell of burning wires. Ice and water must have come through outside air recirculation passage.

My car starting over heating and i have put about one bottle of coolant and about five bottls of water its not leaking but the coolant level is still reading low and i dont know what to do and the coolant...

It has to be leaking some where if not on the outside then you have a bad head or intake gasket and the water is getting burned in the motor. Check all under the car for a leak if none found then the only place it can be going is in the motor. Do you notice a white smoke coming from your exhaust, if so that is water and coolant being burned. The coolant jar your refering too is the overflow and that is normal when it overheats. Used to be when it overheated it just shot steam out of the radiator cap, nowdays all that is captured and re used. Look around the water pump for an obvious signs of any leakage. might just be a bad pump and the engine is heating up and overflowing

one thing with fords, the catalic convertor plugs up and it over heats the motor and runs very poor and burns more fuel than the fuel station it self. you get a check engine at all?? or loss of power? burns alot of fuel? check your fan clutch/motor too
let me tell you what over heats an engine.
1 bad radiator
2 bad water pump
3 seized termostat
4 bad heads
5 plugges catalic convertor
6 engine fan not kicking in on time or at all.

I know I need a new waterpump. When my truck

The fuel in the fuel lines could be affected by the heat of the motor. My suggestion is to replace the thermostat as it sounds like yours has failed allowing all the water to be hot. Also check your fan for proper operation as it cools the radiator down to have a reserve of cool water for the motor. If the water pump is bad replace it before you burn you motor up as it will warp the cylinder head with abuse like that.

1991 Ford Escort fan will not turn on and motor overheats.

some water from the tail pipe is normal but if the car is running bad then it is possible the head gasket is blown. on the escorts that i have owned i have found that the main relay is usually burned and needs to be replaced. it is possible that the fan is dragging and burning this relay up if this relay is good then you may be better off taking it to the electrical shop.
