Question about 2007 Toyota Camry

My 07 camry sounds like it is not shifting

My 07 Camry sounds like it is is not shifting right when I drive above 40 mph. It has a slight roaring noise. When I begin breaking, the noise winds down and then stops when I stop. The rpm dial stays around 1 even when stopped. when I take off from a red light, it sometimes feels like there is a lag in the acceleration.

My 1999 toyota camry is bring up a code 770 shift solenoid e

- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty shift solenoid 'E' valve
- Shift solenoid 'E' valve harness is open or shorted
- Shift solenoid 'E' valve circuit poor electrical connection

The P0770 code is detected when Lock up does not occur when driving in the lock up range (normal driving at 80 km/h [50 mph]), or lock up remains ON in the lock up OFF range.

How do I know that my toyota camry sv40 is in overdrive?

Hello, some models have an O/D indicator light on the dashboard, if it is on or the selector is set to the O/D position and it is working correctly you sill see a slight decrease of engine rpm between about 45 and 65 mph depending on throttle application, it usually drops about 300 rpm when overdrive is engaged, if the rpm stays the same as speed is increased above 50 mph the O/D is not working.

My 2004 toyota camry has a loud noise coming from the engine area. Bearings are fine. Tires are new. Noise really starts areound 35 mph and is dependent on speed and not engine rpm's Shifts...

have the drive shafts checked for failed cv joints , worn out disc pads and suspension rubber failures
Your "loud noise " comment is too generalized to get more exacting advice

1990 camry noise from front end while driving. gets louder till 70 mph then quiets some

If you drive at about 40 on a smooth road, and "weave" left and right. Does the noise get noticeably quieter one way than the other? If it does ,it's a wheel bearing. Easy fix (I'd change both if thats the case)
If the noise doesn't change,it has to be a transmission bushing or final drive noise, not good.
Hope this helps.

My 96 camry steering wheel seems to wobble at speeds under 40 mph.

could be a broken belt in front tire - rotating tires or driving slow while someone watchs tires rotate will locate defective tire - will look like a blister on tire or just a small bulge

2009 Toyota Camry problems

All Toyota auto trans cars downshift when descending a hill when you tap the brake. This is called "Downhill Shift Logic"; what this is for is to eliminate the double shift when you come to the bottom of a hill and then accelerate. Normal condition. Usually happens above 38 MPH.
Also: The cruise will accelerate when going uphill. Normal condition.Plus: The cruise will not disengage back to the set MPH after you top the hill. Toyota recommends to disengage the cruise when encountering steep terrain.
