I have a 1995 Lexus SC400. It stalls when warming up.

Temperature sensor is most likely.

May be its low on coolant or radiator hoses clogged or its thermostat issue,its remaining closed or it can be issue with coolant leaking from somewhere.Or cooling fan not running when when engine gets warm.

There are many possibilities for car overheating.

Faulty thermostat clogged radiator/plugged radiator, radiator hose worn out. Coolant running low. Low coolant pressure. Faulty temperate sensor.

HOT/WARM START ISSUE

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

Heater cold when at idle: Try stopping on a steep incline--does the heater stay warm? If yes, what you have is an air bubble that hangs at the heater hose until pressure from the water pump blows thru it as the engine speeds up. Park on an incline, open the radiator cap, run the engine until the thermostat is open, and fill the radiator to the neck. Wait until the level stops dropping and make sure bubbles don't continue to come up. If they do, you may have a blown head gasket that will keep forming these bubbles until you change the gasket. Please let me know if you have questions.

Is the battery fully charged?

The alternator may be bad. If the headlights reduce the voltage to the computer and ignition system, the car will stall.

I would check this first.

sound like your have the bad distributor, when you have trouble starting remove the distributor and have the auto part check it.

the computer is bad and also these cars are known for the insturment clusters to go bad along with the computer. get them both fixed and it will solve your problem.

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?
