First you will need a pulley remover/installer. Remove the power steering belt, remove bolts holding the pump, remove p/s lines, replace in reverse order,and fill pump. Start car and move steering wheel back and forth slightly, then turn the wheel all the way stop to stop Always watch that there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir. Check with dip stick, should be full to bottom mark;
SOMETIMES THE FLASHER IS IN THE FUSEBOX , SOMETIMES IT WILL BE UNDER THE DASH NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN. THERE ARE TWO FLASHERS ONE FOR TURN SIGNALS & ONE FOR HAZARD LIGHTS. THE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER MAY BE YELLOW & ONE OF THE WIRES WILL BE PURPLE. YOU CAN TURN ON THE HAZARD SWITCH IF THEY WORK YOU CAN LOCATE THAT FLASHER BY THE CLICKING SOUND & ELIMINATE THAT FLASHER & LOOK FOR THE YELLOW PLASTIC ONE. A SMALL MIRRIO MAY BE HELPFUL UNDER THE DASH.
Take the plastic from the dash underneath steering colum , There will be metal bracket with 2 nuts you need to take off. This will allow the steering colum to drop down enough for you to get to switch . It still kinda hard to get to but doable .
remove the lower part of the dash. on the left hand side of the steering column is the ignition switch. it is usually white and about 4 inches long. it is slotted for adjustment. you may have to lower the column to gain access. make sure to remove string to park indicator so you don't break the string. its at the middle of the column.
You have to remove the steering wheel and the plate that is behind it with two screwdrivers. unplug the wire hareness to that. you will also have to remove the screws that hold you hazzard light button on and remove the bottom of the steering column. Tie a string or wire to the harness so you can pull that back thru the column whn you have to reattach the new one.
Drop the steering wheel down and you can access the switch. Just remove the dash cover to access the bolts holding the steering wheel in place. Once you remove those 2 bolts the steering wheel will fall toward the seat.
