If you mean remove the ignition tumbler from the steering column, you will have to remove the steering wheel and lock plate, then you will need to remove the turn signal lever and screws, and then pull the turn signal switch up and out of the way, you should then be able to see the housing for the ignition tumbler down in the steering column. Look at the tumbler housing and there should be a small slot towards the end of the housing that you can put a small standard screwdriver into and depress a locking latch that is built into the tumbler. When this latch is depressed you will be able to pull the ignition tumbler straight out of the column.

If I remember correctly you need to put the key in the lock and turn it (can't remember if it's to on or accessory) Some also have a very small hole near the key. if you have one you need to push a small allen key or wire into it to get it to release. Been a long time but I think I remembered right!!

How to remove a opel corsa ignition

Drop column. Remove all shrouds. Remove shear bolts to remove steering lock assy or if you just want to do switch, small screws hold ignition switch to lock assy. Probably best to remove ignition barrel first though via a small hole in the side of the lock housing. Turn ignition key to position 2 to align spring clip... Depress with small pointed tool like a pick.

How do I get a arrow dead bolt off my front door. no visible screws or slots or openings anywhere. I want to install one I have a key for.

to take those off you have to have the key and turn it a quarter turn to reveal screws. if you don't have the key the lot has to be pick or bumped. or you can try drilling through the plate that turns to reveal the screws but be careful not to damage the screws.

The drivers side door won't open from the outside. How do you take the door apart from the inside? Thanks!

There are a couple of screws holding the armrest in place, remove them. Using a small pick type of tool, pop out the power window master switch, there is another screw under it. The door panel itself is held in place with push clips, so grab the panel from the bottom and pull it out until all the clips are out of the door, then slide it straight up to get it off the top of the door edge.

Broken key in ignition

you can only push this detent pin in when ignition is in on position try to put key that snapped in and wriggle it around to try and turn ignition to on position so then you can remove barrel
if cant turn need to change whole assembly by un doing shear pin for clamp that holds whole assembly on steering column or do what some lock smiths do drill out old barrel slowly and going up in drill sizes until barrel comes out from housing without damaging housing

Change key lock on igntion 1999 2500 4x4

does the ignition switch turn? Did you remove the top and bottom cover of the column by removing the torx screws? If so, there is a hole in the top of the housing that the lock cylinder fits in. FIRST unhook the battery!! Push a small nail or pick into the hole while holding the key in the START position. Rotate the key back to the run position and pull the switch out.

How to remove the key and lock ingnition on a 1999 chevy cavilier

Detach the negative battery terminal and disable the airbag system if you have it. Remove the steering wheel. To do that remove the clip and the large nut and then use a steering wheel puller. (You will need to buy or rent a steering wheel puller They can be found at most auto parts stores) Remove the turn signal switch assembly. Place the lock cylinder in the run position. Remove the turn signal switch housing screws. If you have tilt steering column you will need to remove the pivit pins on the sides of the tilt housing. (you will need a pivit pin puller which can be found at an auto parts store). Pull the buzzer switch out (make sure you note how this is correctly replaced. If done wrong the buzzer will stay on....it is a little plastic piece with two wires). Turn the lock cylinder to Accessory. Remove the lock cylinder screw which is by the buzzer switch you just removed. Remove the lock cylinder.
