How do I replace the Hazard Switch on my 2001 Saab 9-5 Sedan?

Kind of an odd problem. This may be off in a different direction but I had an 78 BMW that the left turn signal did the same thing .It turned out to be the hazard light switch had a short in it. The problem was intermittent and very frustrating. The fix was a trip to the junk yard for a set of rims and the switch was a freebie. Don't know if this will help but I guess it can't hurt.

I have SAAB 9-3, TiD 2.2, 2001 year and my problem is next:Leterrs on my display computers are fading and disappear, so I cant see/read any information on it. Please help.

either the earth is corroded on the motor wiring or the control switch has had its day

change turn signal switch- or look under dash fo a silver, round container about 1 inch in diameter- if touch something else- it will deaden the "clicking" sound

CHECK BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH FUSE AND BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID FUSE.IF BOTH FUSES ARE GOOD.PROBLEM IS THE BRAKE SWITCH FAULTY OR BRAKE TRANSMISSION SHIFT INTERLOCK SOLENOID IS FAULTY.

take the vehicle to your nearest saab dealer and ask for a diagnostic scan, yuo have a sensor failure, if left it could be expensive.

there are the 4 power window switches and the window lock and then a coin collector I think
