Leaking fluid around left front wheel of 2001 Audi A6

If it is near the tire it is brake fluid. The brake fluid reservoir is back by the firewall driver side of engine compartment. Your car uses DOT 4 brake fluid.

Fluid leaks

all that's over there is the rubber brake line and the caliper. Check all connections to lines. Check the bleeder on the caliper and makes sure the hose going to the caliper has the brass washers and the bolts tight

Leaking something

There are only 2 things that run the length of your car.

1. Gas
2. Brake Fluid.

If its gas then you have a cracked or broke gas line. And if its brake fluid you have a ruptured line.

A simple dab and smell will tell you witch it is. If you are not mechanically inclined i would take it to your preferred mechanic shop.

The brake fluide is leaking I have filled up 3 time in 7 day how can I fix it

Look where the fluid is coming from under the car if it is in front of the car it is a front brake line issue these are easy to fix. look at the brake hoses on the left front and right front behind the tire these usually these lines dryrot and leak. the front steel brack line will usaully brake where they are mounted on the car body. If your brake line is leaking from the drivers door back it is a rear brake there is a single brake line that goes to the back and splits into two lines there is another rubber hose by where they split. you can fix brake lines with new steel line and compression fittings where you slide on and tighten the front is 1/8 size line and the back brakes are 3/16.

Fluid leak on inside of rear driver side tire

More than likely it's either break fluid or axel lube. Axel lube will smell really strong and if it's leaking out it will build up on the breaks and make the rear tire skid under heavy breaking. It is also very thick. Break fluid is thin and has almost no smell.

I need to fix/change the break line in my 1992 pontiac grand am

The brake line screws into the back of the drum or caliper depending on if you have disc or drum brakes, it also screws into the metal line coming up the axle. Unscrew it at both ends and replace it with the new one. You will then have to bleed or get the air out of the new line. Make sure that the master cylinder under the hood is full, then have someone sit in the car and press the brake pedal down while you loosen the bleed screw, located in the same area of the line, before they let the pedal back up make sure you close the bleeder screw. Do this a few times til nothing but fluid comes out, top off the master cylinder and you are good to go. Good luck and dont forget to rate.
