I have not heard of any new features as that in an automobile. In small engines like lawn mowers and generators this is acommon fact in most. It would be a nice feature tohave in an auto though. Just incase the panel warning light doe not come on to warn you and or rather or not you have an oil pressure gauge installed in your instrument panel. You shouldalwayscheck youroil when you go to fill up at the gas station. But if they have installed this feature and your car quits what areyou going to do?? Check the oil of course would be the first step. It is wise to always carry an extra quart of oil with you rather you car/truck has this feature or not. If you knopw thesound of your engine and it starts tapping or clicking louder then check your oil. The sound may be thelifters getting dry and that is a warning sound to let you know before you freeze/burn up the motor.

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I get low oil pressure alarm when I am in idle or stopped. I can press the gas and it will come back up.

change the oil with a higher weight oil. I use penzoil 20w50. put a half pint on STP oil treatment in when you change it. Thats the cheapest way to check if you have a problem. it it still does that change the oil pressure sensor/switch. if it still does it you have an expensive problem. the oil pump may be bad or your engine has low compression

My 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited is reading low oil pressure but wen i accelerate it goes to middle pressure but then down to low wen i stop wat can be the problem?

Oil pump or other issues
Cam bearings,etc
Bad sending unit

I would put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it,to verify oil pressure.

Certainly stop driving it ,until you find and repair

2000 jeep grand cherokee upon start up oil pressure goes immediately to the right 80 upon acceleration goes to left just after 60

sounds like couple things one you need check oil make sure it is not low on oil or over full and if it ok still doing it you may need a new oil pump it is faulty check oil level first when real low or high they do this too

My 96 jeep Grand Cherokee started blowing a bunch

It sounds like you may have blown the radiator. The transmission cooling lines go to the radiator, that's why you are seeing anti-freeze too. Don't try to drive it anymore, if the transmission is low on fluid, you will ruin it in no time, if you try to force the vehicle to go. Have it towed to a shop.
