Try the Ignition Coil.

It can be faulty or dirty spark plug itselfd.Also for reference get the fuel level checked.Is the fuel tank is empty or near to empty.
Try cleaning the spark plugs and then see if that is helpin.On some cases the black carbon layer gets collected on the spark plugs and that causes the problem,so cleaning the plugs help.But if its not helping,then spark plug has to be replaced.Spark plugs get power from ignition coil to ignite sparks.If ignitioncoils are faulty then also there will no spark.--------------

you cross two of high tension lead for the spark plugs.

I have a 1977 Chevy Silverado with a 350 put new spark plugs & wire . Did a basic tune up but it still uses $20 a day in gas what can make it do this

change plugs, air filter if dirty, change fuel filter, check and replace spark plug boots if bad on coil over plug, to do this you have to check resistance of the boot. if has wires check plug wires.

check your air to fuel ratio

with a 5/8 inch spark plug socket and a rachet. simply pull the wire off of the plug, change the plug , then push the wire back onto the plug.

You should probably check the timing. It's not uncommon for Chevy's to jump time when they are shut off. Bring the engine around so the timing mark on the bottom pully is at 0 and lift the distributor cap. The rotor button should either be under the #1 plug wire( front wire on driver's side) or 180 degrees away from it. If it's off 180 then turn the engine over until the 0 lines up again. The rotor button should line up then. If it doesn't then turn the distributor until it does and try to start it. It should start there but you will still have to change the timing chain and gears.Hope this helps.
