The light in the trunk may be on as well, it could be on the same circuit as the door lights

1991 toyota camry, replaced battery, alternator, still drains battery. stalled and won't start now.

If something is draining the battery overnight, you need to check each circuit for a short to ground. You also need to make sure the alternator is charging the battery when the engine is running by checking it with a meter.

My 77 coupe deville keeps draining the battery.i got new battery I got new battery post .i did not change the alternator because when I take the - cable of the battery my car stays on..can someone please...

To begin with, please don't ever disconnect the battery cable with the engine running. You can cook the alternator and the computer.
Have you pulled the fuses and disconnected everything to check for a drain ?

2000 Toyota Camry drains battery when shut off

Did the mechanic not check for current drain with an
amp meter & see if everything timed out after ignition
is off & door closed & was within milli-amp spec

I don't think people explain why they are at a shop or
the mechanics have little skill or patience for some issues

My 1987 Camry Alt Fuse Keeps Blowing. Brand New Alternator Brand New Battery . As Soon As I Change The 80 amp Fusible Link And Reconnect The Battery It Blows Immediately

I suggest to check if you have oil leaking onto your alternator or did you recently replace the alternator? Keep in mind that the voltage regulator is built into the alternator on vehicles and I have seen oil leaks internally short the alternator or poor quality aftermarket parts.

Also check ground and wires broke or in short.

Car won't start. after it sits a while it does.

  • Check if the battery terminal is fix and it is not loose.
  • Also check the alternator if still in good condition and also check the distribution cap and the hi tension wires.

Battery will not charge after jump starting. No power at all.

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD ALTERNATOR YOU SHOULD HAVE 14 VOLTS DC @ THE ALTERNATOR WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING. AND NOTHING OVER .05 VOLTS AC

New battery drains to dead in 24 hours

Assuming that the trunk light is not staying on, I would think that the alternator would be the cause of the drain. When the internal electrical parts in the alternator fail, it can drain the battery.
