Make sure you can hear the motor trying to move it, if the motor sounds good, check for anything that may have fallen into the seat channels that could be restricting it's movement

I had the same problem. these trailblazer are a pain. There is a cable that runs underneath the vehicle, and that is probably the problem. The cable is broke.
It could be a fuse or possibly a burnt element altho Ive never really heard of one doing it on both sides at once when it was an element.There is a reset button on some under the hood on the drivers side I believe.
Under the seat is a spring loaded handle that releases a tab on a rail with several notches in it. The tab is probably stuck in one of these notches. Hope this helps. Good luck
