Mine does this frequently, however it usually unlocks after turning off the car and starting it again. Sometimes I also have to keep messing with the dial, turning the radio on and off. If there is a cd, I keep trying to eject it. It varies. If there is an exact way, I don't know.

Check the cigarette fuse, Sometimes it's the memory of the clock on the radio and if you pop that from a cell phone your radio won't work..

I have a 2005 cobalt every time I open the doors the alarm goes off I replaced the battery in keyless entry but they do not work can anyone help?

You may have accidentally broke the controller. They are fragile. The newer cars like yours automatically set the alarm when the doors are locked from keychain remote, or locking manually. New remote, $50-100.

2005 Chevy cobalt 2.2, Gets stuck in park when its cold

Possibly need to lubricate the shift lock. If it stuck, use spare key to insert to the shift lock to unlock.

My 2005 chevy cobalt factory radio is locked

There are only 2 things you can try to fix this yourself: turn off the engine and open the driver side door (to turn the radio off). Wait 5 minutes, start your car.
If that does not solve it, turn off your engine, disconnect the car battery, wait about 5 minutes. Reconnect the battery (negative pole first - black connector) and try your radio again.

If neither one of these two fix your problem, I am afraid only a GM service center or dealership can fix the problem. The Cobalt is notorious for all kinds of electrical issues.

Thanks for using the fixya forums!
