I have a 98 chevy lumina with 61k miles.what can I do about these codes, P0300. P1381

P0300 is a random or multiple cylinder misfire, and P1381 is a misfire EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) or PCM (Powertrain Control Module) Since you mentioned replacing fuel components, it could be as simple as a fuel injector being clogged up causing a cylinder misfire. Have you checked your fuel injectors?

Engine cranks but will not start

Have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check for pump---pressure regulator and filter- The carbon on a plug indicates excess fuelling, either from bad injectors or over pressure.. Back firing in the exhaust is from unburnt fuel accumulating in the exhaust system and igniting . Misfiring is always thought to be plugs and leads but injectors and fuel pressure play an equal role in that area.

I have a 1992 firebird that stalls out then has a hard time starting. if the car sits for a time it will start and run fine some times all day. the next day it will start than stall ,then it will turnover...

Hi, sounds like it's loading up. Recommend you check the fuel pressure regulator for a torn diaphram. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r7427423-fix_poor_idle_high_idle_stalling_fuel . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info

98 pontiac trans am changed oxygen sensors pre catalytic per code from service eng light post catalytics were changed in nov 09 still does not run properly spits and sputters on takeoff and while driving...

just because the o2 readings are off doesn't mean its bad, its a sensor and it reading something something amiss in the exhaust, you're problem lies elsewhere, could be plugs, fuel delivery , coolant in the exhaust, among a few ,check the plugs for possible misfiring, the deposit color should all be the same, light or tan deposit indicates coolant, whille the plugs are out do a compression test,
