An intercooler will cool the air that the turbo has compressed(when you compress air it gets hot)you will notice the difference......but hard to give actual increase in bhp.your acceleration times will drop as well.

OK hi Mr gar mosey I have gotten back the van from the mechanic today an yet still I find it have no speed at all its a 4d56 non intercooled turbo I had the head shaved because it was wapped the older...

What is the question here? What is the car and model? What is the problem? You don't simply add an intercooler and turbo to a non turbo vehicle. The valves in a turbo are different and made for higher heat. The costs are really substantial. If you had warped the head of your current engine, it was probably caused by heat, then you don't want to turbo charge the engine you have. Changing the engine is ridiculous unless you are doing it yourself and have a perfect match. Sell the car and get something faster if that is your problem. But I can tell you the first light you come to will have someone in the other lane with a hotter car than yours... Don't do this to try to make an old car go fast. It is a waste of money and effort.

Head torque specification for l200 4d56 DID DOHC 2007

what car? and year>? and country , so we can look it up in our
great online sources. (all 3 must be known)
in the USA we use alldata.com (or the dealer FSM)

i guess you dont know that some heads are not torqued, or use TTY bolts, right? some are set by ANGLE degree.
that is covered in the FSM all that. the facts.
most head failures result from guessing.
or asking here, with no facts on car.
some engine run different heads, and different if turbo.

case in point, all this Mitsubishi engines

my guess

Can 4d56 engine fit in a 4m40 frame?

Probably, but why would you do this? The 4d56 is 2.5L, the 4m40 is 2.8L, some come with a turbo. You would have a loss of performance, and have all sorts of issues with fabricating bits and pieces to make it fit, plus all the injection and control issues.

Peugeot boxer 2012 has poor power and whistle noise when you try to drive it on

If you have a turbo on this engine then check for loose / blown rubber hoses from the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the manifold. Check for cracks in the intercooler . I suggest this because the whistling noise is high pressure air escaping and the poor performance results from not having the boost available.
