1. check your refrigerant pressure and if the reading is below 20 psi then ur gas is less
2. locate low pressure service port that reads L
3. start engine/ turn ac on
3. recharge gas to max pressure between 20 and 40 psi max.
4. feel the low pressure line if its cooling while ac is running...the job is done...

Do you recharge air conditioner on upper port or lower port

you always recharge on the suction side near the compressor. wear safty goggles!!!!This is the largest line and it will have a pin valve on the line for charging.Look for a sight glass ,it will be on the high pressure line near the dryer assy,a much smaller hose-line it will also have a pin type valve like a tire valve, the site glass is used to see if you are near full charge while recharging, buy observing bubbles.. if the unit is cooling the low side or line for charging will be cold, dripping with condensation on a hot day,and frosty on a cold day.if the system is low it will be warm and dry. but if it is low enough to be less than 50 psi the compressor will not opperate.

E air conditioner in my 2000 olds bravada is blowing only hot air. I have put the r32 into it and the condenser is only working intermittently. Could this be something other than a leak in the system?

First I have never hear of r32, your car should take 134a freon, I been do this for over 30 years, and by looking at a condenser I could not tell you it's working or not, maybe you mean a/c compressor, if a/c compr. is cycle, could still be low on freon.

Can the air conditioner be recharged?

If your car take R-134a refrigerant, then yes your AC can be recharged....make sure you charge at the low side.

Air conditioner not blowing cold air

go to a parts store such as Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone and buy the A/C recharging kit they have with the rubber line and connector that connects only on the side that you need to recharge your system. If you can put air in your tires you can out freon in your a/c system.

Blowing hot and cold

The squeaking could be it just regulating the pressure badly but all cars regulate their pressure for the a/c when you turn the car off.
But anyway, you need a condenser fan for the ac for when you idle.

Air conditioner

You may be low on R134a in your A/C system and need it recharged. You can buy and recharge system for around $45.00 at Auto Zone or Wal-Mart, just follow the instruction's or most place now will recharge the system for around $70.00 and trouble shoot any other problem's that the system may have. Just keep in mind not to over charge the system. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Air conditioner blows cool air but it does not blow cold air.

Start by recharging your system. If you want to do it yourself. Most auto parts stores and hardware stores have recharge kits. Purchase a kit with a gauge to prevent overfilling.
