2006 jeep grand cherokee bumper removal

I have a 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo and i am trying to replace the front bumper. We hit a deer Easter night.I have taken off the grill and the bumper cover but i cant get the actual metal bumper off? does it just slide off? I have removed all bolts but it wont budge? any advice would be great thanks

There are not any nuts or bolts attaching it to anything. All that its connected to is the frame of the jeep. Is it pressed on? Or welded? Are they supposed to just slide off the frame? Could it be wedged on due to the impact of the hit? thanks

If by "welts" you mean some kind of plastic or rubber trim, clean area with 3M adhesive cleaner, then use 3M Black weather strip adhesive.

Check Engine Light is Staying On

I agree with timmyb187. The dealership will test for codes and see exactly what sensor might be putting that light on. Under the bumper are sensors for the airbag. There could be a harness that got cut because of the accident.
