Hello. Since you did not indicate the total miles on the vehicle I can not speak to the coils. Just replace the spark plugs. There are eight of them and then are located at the end of each of the spark plug wires on the topside of the engine under the hood. Joe

Clean the throttle body which is located on the inlet manifold by using a good quality carb, cleaner and see whether your spark plugs are good.

Where is the #8 coil on a ford explore v8 2003

The #8 coil would be on the top of #8 spark plug. It will be the closest to the firewall on the D/S of the engine.

Who to change spark plug 98 ford explorer v8

The plugs are located under the coils on the engine. Remove the wire and screw from the coil and remove the coil and boot. Use compressed air to blow all of the dust/dirt out from the plug area. Removing the dirt is extreemly important. Remove th plugs and replace with a high quality plug. You may want to replace the boots also.

Location of spark plugs for a 03 explorer ( v8 4.6l )

Most likely does not have wires. It should have coil packs on the plugs. If it does have wires, should be the 1st cylinder on the drivers side of the engine in a V6, rear cylinder on passenger side of the V8.

1993 ford explorer

If you have fuel, replace the coil plate, you fried the diode in the coil plate causing it to not fire to test you need a spark plug detector light to see if your getting spark. If you just disconnect the wire and test it like the old spark plug system you will fry the coil or the diode in the plate, I forget what ford calls it, GM calls it a firing diode?? I think rusty memory.
