Head lights are very dim even on brights. I want

Head lights are very dim even on brights. I want to remove the covers and try to clean the inside of them and tilt the lamps up a bit. How do I remove the covers?

Also, the front end squeeks constantly. My mechanic says there is nothing to grease, but it is driving me crazy. Anything I can do to stop the squeeking?

2005 Jeep Cherokee Overland 5.7 Hemi will not turn over after changing

sounds like battery. when a car battery dies it is dead wasting time trying to recharge it.. Turn headlights on bright, turn heater blower motor on high watch lights, do the stay bright or start dimming. Try to start car with lights on are the going dim. If the headlights do not remain bright while starting car it is battery.

Buick Rendezvous Head Up Display

not sure about that one but there is a dimmer wheel by the light switch. move it up and down to dim and brighten the dask lights/cluster. wheel may need replacing. also work the lights on and off switch manually to see if there every thing works smooth or hopes from dim to brite.

3 head lights dim 1normal on dim or bright

I would say you have a bad ground wire. Im not sure about this car but most have a black ground wire fasten to the top of the fender or inside of the inner finder near the battery, Remove the wire and clean the metal and the wire connector with a wire brush, making sure the metal is shiny.
tighten securely and check your lights. Be sure you dont have a black wire going to each light, if so check each one.
I hope these suggestions help you find your problem.

Even on high beam my headlights seem not to be bright enough. I changed the bulbs. would it be that the reflective coating behind the bulbs is worn out. thanks

That is a possibility but its most probobly not, i had the same problem (obvious question) have you tried cleaning inside and out of the headlight diffuser (cover) if you have and it still seems dim why not try the ultra bright clear white lamps you can get?

2006 buick lacrosse how to replace headlight low beam bulb.

The bright light fitting is the same as the dim so take it apart fist to see how the cover screws off/on and the light comes out. Both the cover and the bulb are removed by a standard twist to the counterclockwise and replaced by a twist to the clockwise. Now to the dim light. You have to release the entire light assembly before you can remove the screw-on cover to reach the light. On the rear edge of the light unit closest to the engine is a white locking tab. Pull that tab up just to the point where it releases…pull too far and it locks again. Next, locate the other locking bracket which is a metal bracket in the center-rear of the light assembly. This bracket is held down by a screw. Remove the screw with a 10mm wrench. Lift the bracket just like you did the white bracket. You should now be able to pull (or pry) the entire light unit forward a little. Depending on the size of your hands this might be enough. If not, then you need to release the plastic bumper assembly to give you a little more space. This is done by removing two expansion locking pins, one that holds the little plastic strip down between the bright and dim lights and one that is located inside a rubber bumper on the engine side of the light unit. To remove these locking pins, pull or pry up the little tab in the center of the pin just like you were pulling a nail by the head. That should give you a little more space.

Dim interior lights, power locks wont work......

Try looking at your battery. Check the cables to make sure they are tight and clean. Brush the corrosion off with a wire brush. Now, if you have a wiring schematic, find the ground for the interior lights and clean it up too. Oh, put vasoline on it, and the battery cables, to keep them corrosion free. Check the other grounds in the car cabin too.
