If yours is the one with the cd player the code that came with the radio works for both. If you don't have the right code the radio and cd player wont work
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio/CD player. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Kia service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
You need to be very careful Each failed attempt causes a long delay before you can enter it again. Follow the instructions exactly. You may need to use the car for a day or more before attempting it again if you failed too many times. The radio should say CODE not ERROR. Error means no code can be entered now. You must wait until the radio displays CODE.
The radio may need to be reset. Turn the radio off and disconnect the battery for 1 min and then reconnect the battery, this should reset the radio and the CD will come eject. If the CD will still not come out, then there is a mechanical problem with the Radio and your going to have to have it repaired or replaced. Good luck and hope this helps, Note make sure the radio is off before you disconnect the battery so you will not be prompt to enter a activation code.
Try this, turn the radio off and disconnect the battery for 1 min, after the battery has been reconnected, turn the radio back on and eject the CD and reset the station and clock. Make sure the radio is off when battery has been disconnected or your going to be prompted to enter a radio code to activate the radio. Good luck and keep me posted.
I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.
If it is stock radio looking in your owners manual for the security code/ if it is not printed in manual contact a honda dealership and they can give you directions on reseting it
I have a 2001 focus ..radio suddenly stopped playing after being at garage. I thought that the battery was disconnected and the radio neede reset code, as it has a rad blinking dash anti-theft light. i went to ford garage and they told me they don't have reset codes on the focus. Is this true?
