Vibration when braking and no other signs of a problem. Logic covers checking; calipers (lube slide pins), rotors, pads, bearings, tires, linkage. Now check Emergency Brake's for wear (see bulletin). Another concern is EPAS, rack and pinion assembly, & wheel sensor's (dirty).

2008 Ford F-150 parking brake TSB (Bulletin 08-14-18)

Bulletin Date:

Mar. 1, 2008

Component:

Parking brake.

Bulletin Summary:

Intermittent vehicle vibration--parking brake disengagement concerns.

Vehicles covered in this TSB:

2004 Ford F-150, 2005 Ford F-150, 2006 Ford F-150, 2007 Ford F-150, 2008 Ford F-150, 2006 Lincoln Mark, 2007 Lincoln Mark, 2008 Lincoln Mark.

Hope you find the fix, I'm still looking for the same solution. Don

Town & country 2008 shaking when pressing the brakes

This could be bad rotors or bad bearings. Check to see what a brake shop would charge you to get them done. Then go to an autoparts store and see what new rotors cost. They are easy to change and you can then decide. If you want to know if the rotors are WARPED, you use a dial indicator to check them.

Front tire shakes when stepping on brake pedal

Front brake rotors can warp in heavy use. When it becomes warped it'll cause the steering wheel to shake when brakes are applied.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My brakes sound like they are grinding

check rear rotors and front rotors for rust buildup (flahlight helps). does the vehicle shake when you come to a hard stop? You will either need to have a front or rear or both brake job (rotors cut or replaced and new brake pads) If the vehicle is shaking when coming to a stop, its probably your front pads. If your hearing the noise from the rear its the rear pads or it you hear it from the front its the front pads. If there significant rust build up or your pads are low a brake job is recommended.
