Firing order 1985 350 GMC van

1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2. Odd numbers run down drivers side of the van, even numbers run down passenger side. On the distributer cap 1 is the front right if you're facing the vehicle from the front, go clockwise from there.

1991 chevy silverado firing order on the distributor 7.4l engine

In the diagram below #1 plug wire is the all white dot on the distributor cap at the bottom 6 Oclock position (slightly to right), the firing order goes in the clockwise direction as the arrow indicates around the cap.

Need a spark plug firing order diagram for 1990 chevy s-10 blazer 4.3l

Firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. Cylinder numbers are, front to rear: left side (driver) 1,3,5, right side 2.4,6. Distributer numbers are: 1 in front side of cap. numbers run clockwise same as firing order from number one position.

We've replaced the distributor cap and rotor in our 1985 Chevy C10 305 V8 and still have to fire TO the plugs. It won't start

This is a one piece distributor. It has the coil and pickup sensor all built in. Check and see if you have 12 volts on the large red wire that plugs into the cap while the key is on. (The other wire is for a tachometer if you have one). If you have power and there is no spark from your ignition wires, your pickup module is bad in the distributer. Very rarely have I seen a failed coil.

Spark plug order to distributor

For a 1985 Chevy S10 with a 2.8L engine the firing order is: 1-2-3-4-5-6 The Distributor rotation is clockwise.Take off the cap and bump engine till the rotor points to the no. 1 plug. this is the no.1 contact on the cap. follow rotation around the cap in order. {ie. 2,3,4 ect.} hope this helps.

3.9 engine. spark plug wires inadvertantly got removed from distributer cap and not sure how they go back on.

The rotor should be pointing to number 1# cylinder then going clockwise it is 18436572 to get it on compression stroke take the #1 plug out you can put your finger in plug hole and have someone bump the engine over till you feel the pressure it will hiss and the put to TDC (top dead center) hope you get it going good luck this should help alittle
