The pvc valve will be located on the valve cover. Or better yet will be inserted into the valve cover. Follow the hoses coming from your air cleaner ( air filter) to the one that goes to your valve cover. Your pvc valve will be at the end of the hose. pvc valve can be tested by pulling it out of the valve cover while still attached to the hose. Start the engine. Place your finger over the pvc valve and pug it with your finger. If you feel vacume then it is working properly. If no vacume is present. Replace pvc valve

Where is the pcv valve on volvo s60 2.0T 2002

The PCV ( Positive Crankcase Ventilator ) valve is located in a valve cover. It is identifiable by the largish hose ( usually about 1/2 - 3/4 inch diameter )going from it to the intake system. If you have a throttle body injection system, the PCV hose will go to the throttle body. Typically PCVs are on the passenger side of the motor.

How to replace AUDI (VW) PCV valve

PCV is an acronym for positive crankcase ventilation.
The PCV Valve is a very common replacement item on many engines today. It's called the PCV valve for short but it stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. When your engine spins it many times collects pressure in the crankcase area, and it has to escape to relieve pressure on the motors bearings and seals. The PCV valve and PCV system is typically located near the intake manifold, and many times comes right off of the valve cover. It is very simple to replace the PCV valve, and you can do so by simply unscrewing it, and screwing in the new valve. We recommend using a little bit of teflon tape or paste to make sure you do not get any oil leaks.
Example (see picture below): 2,4 ltr. Audi V6 engine (BDV, AMM)

How to replace PCV valve on 1999 S10 blazer

If the engine in question is the 4.3l Vortec motor, the pcv valve is located on the driver's side valve cover, near the center. If it is the 2.2l motor, it is also located on the main valve cover, near the front of the cylinder head.

Where is the pcv filter located on a 2003 Silverado 5.3 liter? how do I replace the original filter?

Hi!!
The PCV valve is located on top of the Valve Cover, it is held in place by a rubber grommet and has a vacuum hose connected to it. The PCV valve can be easier to remove if you just pull the vacuum hose (with the valve attached) straight out and then remove the valve from the vacuum hose. Here is a picture of the PCV valve for easier identification.
A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Where is the pcv valve on a 2002 chevy s10 extreme v6 4.3l

PCV valve is round and screws into the intake manifold. It can be identified by the hose coming out of the top of it going to the valve rocker cover. When you unscrew it be sure to not lose the "O" ring.

Where is pcv valve located on 2005 taurus

It is below the egr valve close to the intake manifold below the intake air sensor, there is a tube running to it from the engine to recirculate exhaust air with fresh air, there is a clamp holding it to the air intake that you need pliers to remove, then you need to turn counter-clockwise 90 degrees to remove, do the reverse to install. to make it easier to access remove the upper intake. The pcv valve is not visible, however, you can identify it by the 3" inch long rubber hose that connects to the steel line running into the bottom of the intake. I have the part and am going to replace it soon, although Ford really makes it difficult to remove it -
pcv valve is located just under the throttle body. remove air cleaner assembly from throttle body and you will see a u shaped hose running horizontally.

Changing PCV valve

you pcv valve should be located on the top or around the intake on top of the engine. It is covered by a little pcv valve rubber hose...it is easy to identify because it is similar to a radiator hose but a lot smaller...no where near the size of a radiator hose...but when located, the pcv valve just pulls out and to check for it being bad, shake it and it should sound like something loose inside the pcv valve (thats a good pcv valve) but what they look like, they should be a silver looking color with a small little neck on it
