The paint on the hood of my 2006 Chrysler 300 is starting to bubble and peel along the front edge. Has there been a recall on this? How expensive will it be to repair?
U will find that this is a repair at some time. the mil thickness of the clear is to low and the uv light is breaking down the base coat causing the clear to peel and the elements to penatrate to the primer.
Probaly looking at $350 to $600 depending whether they blend the color on the fenders for a good match

Is this a repair we can do ourselves? My husband has some experience working in an autobody shop in the past. My brother says it's not that hard to repair because the color of the car is solid. I've been told that if we buy the color coded paint from the dealer we have our best hoping of getting a good match.
