How to replace the synchronizer in 1992 ford f-150 manual 5 speed transmission

I have not found this online. I have seen ads selling this workshop manual for over $80.

If choosing the 2nd option, use their contact link to figure out what they mean by offline use. Maybe it is simply an e-book or the manual that you download. And clarify if possible wheter this is for a 5 speedor 3 speed.

The rings are locked because they are worn excessively and you can pry them apart but the next time you shift they will lock together again. sorry but you need to buy and replace parts

You must have a manual transmission. Rebuild it. synchronizers are bad. The reason for grinding. Then you have worn shift forks. Reason for popping out of gear. Also replace any worn bearings or just get the bearing kit and replace them all, with the races.

there is a speed sensor on the transmission on the back of it and if its a 4x4 it on the transfer case

Believe it or not the ford standard transmissions take atf used to be a heavy gear oil but now its ATF. You have a indicator stick that unscrews on the R-passenger side of the trans case and it should be 4-5 quarts, Good luck.

sounds to me like possibly bad synchronizers.

1992 Ford Ranger came with two different type of 5 speed stander transmission's that year.

For a Mazda stander trans it take's Automatic transmission fluid Mercon.

for a Mitsubishi stander transmission it take's Ford manual transmission fluid.
