I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima GLE it starts up fine, but once I put it in reverse the engine dies.I can restart it and after it warms up it does fine, but sometimes in drive it will die as well. Can anybody Help?

there is a problem with your iginition timing. it is most probably overly advanced. have an experienced mechanic check your ignition timing. the mechanic should check the distributor, camshaft, and crankshaft timings.
If your`check engine light is on, have the codes read to find out what is causing your transmission problems, but yours seems to be a common problem, the usual symptoms of a failed speed sensor in the 00-03 maxima. Have it checked out.
Can't really say. But you need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Could be EGR, throttle position sensor, etc., but don't see how the starter could be related. Have to wonder if you left a wire off or put one in the wrong place. The main power for the fuel injection and ignition come off the main starter positive. And a cold start wire comes off the starter solenoid.
