Could be the switch.but if it has intermittent wipers i think, not sure though, that that year has an intermittent wiper modul at base of steering column or near there. if it does unplug the two connectors to it and plug them into each other.if they now work then a new module is needed. but you dont need to replace it, you just wont have intermittent

1988 jeep cherokee,6 cylinder my front windsheild wipers dont work.fuse is good.the wiper motor makes a noise when its turned on.is there a relay that could be faulty?wiper switch is the same as the turn...

No relay in the circuit.
There is a delay module but if it fails that usually causes the wipers to stop in the middle of travel or only run on high.
And the switch is working if you hear noise coming from the motor. The wiper switch is not the same switch as the turn signals but it is near that assembly.
I would say if you have power to the wiper motor the motor is probably dead or something happened to the linkage to the arms.

Windsheild wiper will not work, what to check next

Check wiper fuse. If ok turn key to on position and try to pull wiper arm into the direction that they would swipe on the windshield. If this doesn't work u could try tapping on the wiper motor while the key is on to see if that works. Use a test light to see if motor has power to it.

2004 buick LaSaber windsheild wipers stopped working after I turned them off. Came on again for short time a few days later but soon quite again.

Try checking your wiper fuse first. If the fuse checks out, make sure the motor is running. Check to make sure no wires are burnt around the motor or loose. If the motor checks out, it could be your wiper switch.

Windshield wipers do not work, tried checking fuse box under hood but all fuses are working. Need to know where fuse is located for windshield wiper, or where windsheild wiper motor is.

There is also a fuse module located on the passenger side of the center console under the dash. You can pull the plastic cover panel off by hand. This should be where the wiper motor fuse is located.

motor may be bad for the windshield wipers, you can disconnect and turn wipers on and see if blows the fuse, as it is in the switch then it should blow as soon as you turn them on. Hope this helps Tim
